After two consecutive years revolving around the future of educational technology, Open EdTech 2009 came to an end on October 20th with the OET communiqué: Create the University of the Future.

This document covers the most important actions that any educational institution should implement to respond effectively to the contemporary needs of today’s students.

The organization is grateful to all participants from Open EdTech 2008 and 2009 since they are all responsible for the success of this unique and highly valuable experience.

After the success of Open EdTech 2008, the EdTech annual meeting about educational technology comes back for next October with a similar formula: a small group of around 40 open, educational and technology experts that gets together to share best practices, as the basis for discussions to help identify future education and technology needs and trends for next-generation educational and learning environments. This year, Open EdTech also counts on the New Media Consortium (NMC) as co-sponsor of the activity.

Some of the sessions will be videotaped and shared with the community.
