Hatice Gunes received the Ph.D. degree in Computing Sciences from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, in September 2007. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London, and an Honorary Associate of University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). At Imperial College, she is working as part of Maja Pantic ’s Intelligent Behaviour Understanding Group (iBUG) on the European Union (EU-FP7) project called Semaine. Dr. Gunes has published over 30 technical papers in the areas of affective computing and multimodal human-computer interaction. She has served as a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the book titled Affective Computing and Interaction to be published by IGI Global in 2011, and as a reviewer for various journals and conferences in her areas of expertise.
