Martha Ladly is an associate professor at the OCAD University in Toronto, Canada. She is the director of the OCADU Interdisciplinary Master’s Program in Art, Media and Design, and the Chair of the Research Ethics Board. Martha specializes in media and technology in art and design, and she is a senior researcher with the Mobile Experience Lab. She was formerly the Director of HorizonZero (www.horizonzero.ca) the Canadian digital arts and culture website. Martha also had a prominent international recording career as a musician, performer, and writer. She earned two certified gold discs, numerous top-ten singles and albums, and a Juno award. Throughout the 1990s Martha worked with Peter Gabriel and Real World, leading design teams for award-winning interactive arts and entertainment projects. Martha is an author and the co-editor of the anthology Mobile Nation: Creating Methodologies for Mobile Platforms.
